Visa-free Mauritius
Citizens of many countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and several EU countries, are eligible for visa-free entry into Mauritius for stays of up to 90 days. This means that travelers from these countries do not need to apply for a visa prior to their trip but they will need to have a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Mauritius. Another travel requirement to Mauritius is the Mauritius All-in-One Travel Digital Form which is for health purposes. It is strongly recommended to fill the form prior to your travel date in order to avoid any administrative delays at the airport.
Mauritius offers various types of visas namely, Tourist Visa, Business Visa, Student Visa, amongst others. The Premium Travel Visa has also been gaining popularity among digital nomads, travelers and retirees.
Mauritius Visa Requirements
The Mauritius Visa Requirements include, but are not limited to the following criteria:
- Visa Application Form duly filled in and signed by applicant.
- Two recent passport-size photos of the applicant.
- Photocopy of the data pages of applicant’s passport.
- A copy of the Residence Permit. (Applicable for applicants not residing in their country of origin). Same to be valid for at least three months after proposed date of departure from Mauritius.
- Copy of passage ticket to country of origin or residence.
- Copy of bank statement for the last three months.
- Hotel Booking for accommodation (if sponsored by a Citizen of Mauritius, to produce evidence of sponsorship, Copy of ID and proof of address)
